Getting Started
What should I wear to Pilates?
Wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing that allows for ease of movement. Fitted attire is ideal as it helps instructors observe your form and alignment during exercises. Men should wear shorts with liners or fitted athletic shorts to ensure comfort and ease of movement during exercises.
Pilates is typically performed barefoot, however if you prefer to wear socks, for your safety it is recommended that you wear socks with grips.
How do I book a class or appointment?
Booking a Pilates class or appointment is easy! You have two convenient options:
Book Online: Visit our website and create an account with Momence to browse available classes and schedule your session.
Use the Momence App: Download the Momence App from the Apple Store or Google Play to book classes on the go.
If you have any questions or encounter issues while booking, feel free to contact us, and we’ll be happy to assist you.
Do you accept walk-ins?
Because of the nature of our studio, instructors are only here during class times or private sessions during which they are occupied with clients. In order to reserve your time or a space in class, you must schedule in advance.
Do you offer memberships?
We do not offer memberships at Cary Pilates which means no lock-in contracts! You will only pay for the classes you attend and won’t have to worry about membership fees.
What is the cancellation policy?
We understand conflicts arise and illnesses occur. If you are unable to attend, you must cancel through your account or alternatively by phone, text, or email at least 24 HOURS prior to your class or appointment so that your time/spot may be made available to someone else.
Can I use my Health Savings Account (HSA) for Pilates Classes or Private Sessions?
We recommend checking with your HSA provider to determine whether Pilates classes or private sessions can qualify as a reimbursable expense under your plan. A doctor’s note or prescription may be required.
Can I book a private class for my group of friends?
Yes! If you have a group of friends who are interested in taking a class together, we’d love to help create a custom Pilates experience just for you. Whether it’s for a special occasion, team-building event, or simply a fun way to work out together, we can tailor the session to your group’s needs and goals.

Do you accept Insurance?
Upon request, we can provide an itemized receipt that you may use to submit to your insurance for out-of-network benefits. You are responsible for determining your benefits.
Do I need a doctor's order before receiving Physical Therapy?
Doctor’s orders are not required for you to see a Physical Therapist in North Carolina.
However, if you plan to seek reimbursement from your insurance company, it is recommended that you check with them prior to your session. Some insurance companies and/or plans require you to have doctor’s orders for reimbursement.
Can I use my Health Savings Account (HSA) for Pilates-Based Physical Therapy?
Yes! We accept HSA payments for Pilates-Based Physical Therapy services. It’s a great way to use your HSA funds to support your health and wellness goals.
